I have a Cat 257b (1st series ASV tracks) with tortion axles. Being I have it apart I tried jacking on them to see if they still twist. They do, but not much. Maybe 5 degrees tops jacked with all the weight of one side of the loader on it verses blocked up with no weight. Is that all I can expect? Or are these worn out?

Usually can tell if worn out by how far machine sits off the ground loaded versus unloaded (ie on jack stands) .

In my experience torsion axles don't wear out. They simply break and leave shards all around that are like broken window glass.
