Hey working on a Cat V40D forklift I believe it is a 1989 and basicly it goes into reverse gear and neutral but not forward. There is power going to both silinoids so it cant be wiring. Does anyone know what could be causing that? thanks

Power to the solenoids okay, but did you ohm out the coils to see if they read the same? If the two solenoids can be switched around, try that.

Beyond that it's time for pressure checks, you may have lost either a clutch seal or one of the seal rings in the clutch pressure circuit, or the clutch pack is toast. Usually you get some warning on the clutch pack, slippage, surging, etc.
