I think it's threaded into the end of the cylinder? You can drill it and get a BIG easy out.....I mean the biggest one that will work and maybe get the broken piece out. There may be thread lock compound in it and it will come out slow and hard. Or maybe weld a nut on the end. There's different ways to go about it. Pictures would help see what you have.
