Hey I just bought a cat d4h and was wound wrondering if it is normal that you have to idle it up to go into gear? Vic
If you are moving on dirt then that would not seem too far out. The only way a tractor will generally move with the engine at idling speed is with absolutely clean undercarriage on hard smooth concrete. It goes in to gear at low idle but will not move until you rev it up bout half way!!
