have a cat 349 (hpd prefix) that throws a e1052-2 Low Aftertreatment #1 Fuel Pressure #1 every 20-80 hours (machine will not regen with this event logged). I have not been at the machine when the code is active and have not been able to recreate the code while im on the machine. fuel pressure at the priming pump has always been at the high side of spec while im on the machine and has always sucessfuly completed ARD ignition tests and will active regen once the code is cleared and will not log the code again for a week or two. I replaced the ARD fuel solenoid (updated solenoid) and both pilot and main soleniods on the ARD fuel manifold along with both pressure sensors. any sugegestions would be apreciated

fuel quality is good. dpf has been changed at 5k and machine is now at about 8k, ard head is original and has not been off as far as i know, as for software i believe it is up to date but will have to double check

thanks, pulled and replaced screen when this issue first appeared. pulled the ard head Saturday and replaced with a reman, blowing air through the fuel ports the pilot would mist/atomize fuel out the nozzle where as when i blew through the main it just dribbled fuel out. also both the swirl plate and nozzle where pretty fouled.

For future reference. Did that fix the issue.? E1052-2 Event now gone.?

can not confirm repair until machine has some hours on it. the machine will not regen with that event logged so i cleared it and preformed a regen. my understanding is that the pilot fuel solenoid acts as the primary fuel delivery to the ard nozzle and the main is only used when more fuel than just the pilot is desired, so i assume that is why i only get the code every 20-80 hours becuse the main fuel solinoid is not used often.

machine threw a Aftertreatment #1 Loss of Combustion 1026-2 yesterday at the end of the day (20 hours since ard head replacement). made it to the machine this morning and cleared the code ran a service regen due to soot loading and than ran multiple ard ignition test and ard air test and never had an issue, ive attached the regen history since the ard replacement( the date on the machine is not set so 7-13-2006 would be the 23rd)

Is that because the Aftertreatment ECM internal battery is kaput? I'm already suspecting an issue with software and/or the aftertreatment ECM.

How confident are you there's no boost leaks?
Are there any new associated codes?

Did not think much about the date, will definitely investigate that. I am fairly confident there are no boost leaks but will test for any. Only new code was failure to ignite since ard head replacement but I have not gotten low after treatment fuel pressure code since replacement

Can you check differential pressure over your DPF? See if there is elevated differential from excessive soot in the DPF?...Also worth checking ARD heater circuit coil/fuse to make sure circuit is good.

If you end up getting a dealer out to do the software, insist they bring an aftertreatment ECM with them and say you'll happily pay the credit fees if it's not needed.
