Cat 305CR LH Track won't stop\ disengage. Like it's stuck in reverse. Safety lever has no effect. Start machine and track starts moving. Lever and plunger seems to be working.
Any ideas?
The spool in the main control valve that supplies oil to the LH travel motor is probably stuck.
Usual cause is a piece of debris from somewhere has got lodged in it.
EDIT: To identify which type of main control valve you have will require the machine Serial Number.
Thanks Nige finally got a mechanic out and that was exactly it. The spool valve was stuck. Little pull and push it came out. Dirt or grime on it. Flushed spool body out and reinstalled. Works great.
