Hi guys first time thread here so here goes: man I got a mess customer brought me 299d2 dealership said motor locked up (c3.8) I drove it off the trailer (gas on a rag) all the front gears had striped teeth fuel pump, chrank,cam,idler(s). Anyway it would run fine with gas rag so I decided to take to a chance. I replaced the gears flushed engine,fuel tank,fuel lines. Cleaned air system, turbo Replaced all filters set the timing for the crank and cam and got the fuel pump timing close just by guessing.it did start but the cam walked and rubbed the position senser I felt the cam had a lot of lateral movement how much should it have??? The timing still isn’t right? Hard to tell cause I’m dealing with def issues now it sat for six months before I got the go ahead. First thread is a mess hope I make sense to y’all I’m nervous and anxious
