Repairing a broken idler roller on the rear of a 289C track loader, this turned into a tear down due to cracks and damage in the frame of the tension idler arm. I removed the smaller rollers that ride on the bottom of the track and noticed that some of these had shims. Does any one know the procedure to install these rollers so they are straight? The track frame seemed to be slightly springy as the bolts will draw the frame down on the roller on both sides. My thought is to install the small rollers tighten bolts and compare where the middle flanges of the rollers align with a straight edge and shim from there. If anyone has experience with this you input is needed!
