Hello,

Can anyone supply a list of fluids & qtys required for a Case 821B loading shovel....in particular what oil goes in the transmission

Case Hy Trans goes in the transmission, it can also be used in the hydraulic system over regular hydraulic oil, 15w40 in the engine and 80W90 in diffs and final drives. you can buy an operators manual online for this machine or from your locaal dealer

do not mix oils in your case transmission. if you can contact the previous owner find out what he used if not COMPLETELY drain the trans i mean COMPLETELY if you have to get a fluid vacuum tank and suck it out of the bottom of the trans. if you mix oils they gel in the trans and clog the pickup tube.

Yes you are right he should not mix the oils I am assuming he his doing a complete service havin just bought the machine. I do not think the oils would clog the pickup tube though, but they could have an effect on the the smaller valves in the valvebody ( ie load piston, ratio valve, modulation, etc )
