case 530 hoe cylinders

I have a friend with a 530 case backhoe and the cylinders on the hoe are very scored. He has replaced seals and they last about 3 months before they are leaking again. He has gotten a price of $600-700 each to replace the rods. Is there any place to get good used cylinders or aftermarket cylinders or someplace cheaper to have them replaced?
