Had an interesting one today! We are going to modify a 210 to customer specs for the purpose of digging up old unexploded ordinance on Ft Bragg.
Specs are, what I know so far anyway, 3 inch thick lexan in front of operator. 1/2 steel plate under cab area, 1/2 steel plate over window, closest to boom. Machine already has the ROPS installed over cab and has a hyd thumb. Anyone ever seen or did this before?

On a U.S. base you would think they would have Cat or something american to be patriotic.

It's an putside contractor who is renting the machine from us, but is paying for the mods to comply with the regs so they can do the job. After the job is done (6 months) the mods will be removed and likely trashed.
I'll try to post some before, during and after pics.

Try telling that to the boys in Calhoun GA that have been welding structures and assembling Kobelco excavators since the late 80's. You might find a redneck or two with a case of the red @ss!! :usa

Is not the KOBELCO 210 actually also marketed as the CASE CX210?
