Bobcat T40170 drive issues

I need help with this bobcat forklift were working on. I'm currently deployed in Afghanistan on a small SF FOB so keep in mind I can't go to a store and buy a part. When I got here this bobcat T40170 was not moving at all, no hydro's were working. The previous mechanic figured out that the gear in the bell housing which is made out of plastic was broken, it drives the pump. I got the part and installed it, put it all back together and now everything works except forward and reverse. Steering, boom functions & accessories all work it just won't go into drive or reverse. The reverse buzzer comes on when selected so it thinks it's in reverse. It acts like it's in neutral all the time no matter what gear is selected. Also the overweight alarm is always on.

What I could really use is a repair manual but no luck finding one. I'm told this version of the forktruck is the over seas version as it has a perkins engine. I hoping something is just hooked up backwards. Last bit of info I got is when it did break down I'm told it was drug to it's repair location & the wheels were locked the entire time. When I lift it up so all four wheels are off the ground the wheels do slowly roll on their own, when giving it throttle they roll a little bit faster but always forward & never in reverse.

Any help would be appreciated, a digital copy of the repair manual would help the most.

Thanks-

2015 ??? Its a good news bad news situation. You don't have to worry about anymore but the American tax payer might. Hopefully HEF wont give the chief Taliban mechanic an account to do a follow up post with. One can only hope it had a few thermite grenades tossed in it before it was parked right next to all those blackhawks
