Yesterday one of the Local 'Trolley' Company Carriage Buses had a event, driver caught shoulder, Over Corrected, shot into Other lane then off the opposite side shoulder into a ditch, over 20 aboard, speed was not so high but the Sudden Stop at Ditch Opposite side sent the UNBELTED passengers flying inside.

Several Serious Injury, most were treated at local hospital, Driver(45) was Airlifted to Columbia MO Univ Hospital.

May kill off the Trolley rides. Last year had a MCI with a car that pulled out of a market drive in front of one, not the driver’s fault but MO is now a 20/80% of ANY accident damage insurance state, add this and doubt be able afford insuring.

More like Attempted Murder.
Yeah---the guy on the scooter was being a idiot, and it probably started because he got cut off.
But for someone to lose their cool and side swipe knowing full well the out come put's it in
whole other light. Not one frigging thing was accomplished by all that, one is in critical condition
the other is going to get a trip to the gray stone hotel, as he should. Both are losers because
of attorney costs, court costs, loss of employment, and a record. And the other will probably
suffer from injuries the rest of his life. Zero percentage in any of it.

Update on Trolley Driver. Local Schools Administrator, 45, been a substitute School Bus Driver for close to 15 years, bought into the Trolley Co and stepped in as lacked drivers or someone was out ill. Was a pretty heavy volume day to say the least and he stepped up.

Back was broken several places, underwent Surgery Tuesday where will be down at least three weeks in recovery/PT. Really nice guy just trying.

Fractures in his back unfortunately will haunt him in time, it's the one area the bone will
heal but crowded with nerve endings that won't. Where some luck will play a role if he
doesn't push too hard in recovery.

NEXT Up, Bad Day for Older Couple, Self Propelled RSH on I-70 TODAY.

Running Empty as leaving the Concrete Yard, traffic grinds to a Crawl, RV on Shoulder, Gator Backs of Two Tires suspect off it also on Shoulder. Sure Enough, BOTH Steer Tires self destructed, Steel Rims on Pavement. Called MSHP*55 and they were going to send the Locals to assist.

Old Freind in Warrenton is a County Cop, he got the call, recognized My name for the Call In, sent me a Text as to Conditions. Older Couple, bought the RSH ten years ago so could still get some travel time in as had retired, Tires were OEM for the machine, Next to No miles and severely Rotted, Remaining four at rear showing distress indications. He stated they were fretting 'How to Pay for Six tires and Two Wheels on their limited Income', NO THOUGHT as to Maintenance of the RSH.

Said may be up for Sale CHEAP, SOON.

7/1 incident closed I-70 at the 196mm for close to all day.
This region is where contractor is setting up three lane conversion of the older section of interstate we have been hauling sand for the concrete.

Driver was EB, have witnessed the morons driving HDT using the Left Lane while signage notes “Trucks Use Right Lane” with speed limit at 60mph and these idiots running 70 or higher.

Inside lane was expanded four feet onto median shoulder to allow a Jersey Barrier pinned wall to protect grade workers to be set along pavement edge.

Driver, evidenced as speeding in Left Lane(unknown absolute speed), lane only 9’6” width trailer Left duals left lane into media(drop of 3-6”) loaded box trailer dragged tractor into median, truck veered hard left passing though cable guard rail like tissue paper, hit oncoming Semi in WB lanes(totalled), overturned and slid into/through 30+ feet of north shoulder guard rail, driver died of injuries at scene.
Construction reduced speed is from 192mm to 202mm as is the Trucks Use Right Lane designation. Do not ever see cops monitoring this or the other sections in the reconstruction zones(4) east of us.
