backhoe hydraulics case 580E extendahoe

hey guys im having some issues on the camps backhoe the hydraulics stopped working all at once nothing lifts not the bucket or the hoe all my mechanic buddies have said its the check valves but i have searched the manual and cannot find anything on the check valves at all i know this may sound dumb but i need some guidance on how to get this thing running before the snow hits i read that it could be the packing but im so lost any ideas

Does the transmission drive the machine? If it does, check the pump drive coupler on the front of the engine at the crankshaft. They are famous for stripping the coupler/pump splines.
