I use one on my mini for trenching and for setting grade on paver bases. I've owned it for a year, and have yet to have a malfunction with it. My only issue that I had was that there was very little room for the receiver on the stick with aux piping in place as well, which made it hard to set it where you needed it. Also, if I was digging in hard clay or rock, and did alot of bouncing around, the magnet would detach from the boom. I solved the problem for the mini by attaching a piece of 1 5/8" uni-strut to some 1/2" allthread rod that I welded to the boom. Now I attach it with the rod clamp, which is actually quite convenient, and I can switch from the rod to the machine without changing the base. Use caution on buying it on Ebay.....I had to fight with a guy by the name of Don Foster from Laser Grade in Missouri...not shipped, no tracking number, was shipped (NOT!) no tracking number.....having trouble his internet, blah, blah, blah. Finally called him on it, and he cursed me out, told me that "he must be a damned liar then!" and hung up on me. Ebay covered it, and I bought from L3sys on Ebay...a very easy transaction. Paid $358 with the rod and magnet mount
Lights are very bright, easy to see, simple to use. I never needed or wanted anything more.
