A truckdriver that worked for me for about 12-14 years died recently and his family wants to sell me his beloved pickup truck. It is a '98 GMC 2500 with a 6.5 in it, and they say that it will periodically cut off while driving. It had a brand new injector pump installed about a year before he died and was running good when he died. A little internet research says that a very common problem with these trucks is that the pump drive module breaks down with heat and should be relocated.
Have any of y'all ever run into one of these trucks doing this?
I know less about diesel pickups than I do about most things, if you can believe it.
Thanks guys,
Mitch
