Appreciate it nige. Was missing that line completely and had nothing to trace. Where'd you pull that up at? Looked everywhere In my service manual and couldn't find that. Love the 73 page thread of the 951c and have read thru most of it.This is the best I can do. The Parts Manuals back on those days were none too clever.

Parts Manual. With a machine that old you really should have one and not have to depend on dealer parts guys to be able to find Part Numbers for you.Where'd you pull that up at?
Ahhhh, whole database full. Perks of the job. I have one, must be missing that page. Didn't think a book would be $500 that's merely impressive.Parts Manual. With a machine that old you really should have one and not have to depend on dealer parts guys to be able to find Part Numbers for you.
The Cat Publication reference for 86J machines up to 1660, which includes yours, is UE070124. Try searching for one in the usual internet marketplaces.
If that fails these guys will have one - https://www.servicemanualpro.com/?page=Products&searchbox=86J00266
When dealer labour is currently priced North of $150/hr inc travel time the service manuals are cheap IMHO.Didn't think a book would be $500
If you can find a Cat dealer anywhere in the country that is charging less than $150/hr for a field service truck with all the bells & whistles & a service tech to drive it I would say you are doing extremely well. Other contributors may have differening vies.Southeast?
Upstate. Don't need one was just more or less interested in how much going rate is.You will not find a CAT service tech for less in SC might try a independent what part of SC are you in
