So we have a few laser level systems sitting around for our tractors, and after going to a trade show I got curious about adding laser machine control to our little 1986 D3B. It already has power beyond ports as the previous owner put grapples on the front which have since been removed. My thought was just to use a summit hydraulics 4 spool kit ( https://summit-hydraulics.com/produ...ct-tractors-two-spool-three-spool-four-spool/ ) and re- hose the cylinders to plug into that. But I can't find and confirm specs on working psi or flow rate needed for the front controls on the dozer, many websites give different specs.

We have laser systems from Canamek, and trimble on our tractors that could easily be set up on the dozer from the 12v side, just need to figure out the hydraulic controls.

Any input is appreciated. Definitely don't want to go the $15,000 route through topcon.

Looks to be 2500 PSI and 14.6 GPM std. flow. Loader version standard pump is 23 GPM and I think it was optional on the dozer and a 26.5 GPM piston pump may have also been an option if a backhoe was ordered from the factory.

Thanks! It looks like this electric valve kit may work then. It says 3000psi and 15 gpm. One problem down, and one left to go. A rear ripper option for the machine..... but that's a problem for another day. For now, will just be happy to get laser grade control on this piece of old iron.

Ripper might run off a power beyond adaptor but not sure. I think you want to make sure everything on your D3B is nice and tight before putting a laser system on it.
