What year and series? On Anything with the 8400, it’s out through the bottom/ front. We swing the circle out to the side, same as if you were to change blades (if the counterbalance valves don’t hold, it’ll creep down!). Once all the hoses, electrical, and driveshafts were off, a sling was hooked to the input yoke and tied to a truck crane. The mechanic had another sling that went onto the rectangular ears on the sides and wound hook it to a comealong. Once the mounts were undone, then it was lowered, and comealong tightened pulling it forwards. 2 to 2 1/2 coming out and 3 to 3 1/2 going in maybe? In the 90’s I helped do quite a few as the clutches weren’t the best.

Put the 6 wheels up on 12 inch blocks ( you need about 52 inches between between the frame and ground below the cab. Use a 2ton trans. jack under trans. and have at it.

Hello good friends.

Happy New Year for all….

This is Delio Lorenzana, someone referred to me in a later post with in regards to champion transmissions… Yes we did have a number of different power train combinations and yes we did have torque converters.

For Champion/Volvo Motor Graders, if you might require assistance in any case, please show the Grader S/N ….. to beginning with.

Then, we can help you better.

Thanks
