4in1 bucket failure to close

just bought a ford 575d with clamshell bucket. Uses twist a wrist to activate clamshell. It will open but not close. Do the cables stretch and have to be replaced that activate the valve or is there adjustment somewhere I can check ?

I would assume the cable is adjustable. Pretty poor design if it isn't.

Here's a pic of the parts diagram. At least if you find you need a replacement it'll give you the part number.
