I am thinking of buying a 1990 bobcat 843 with 3000 hours on it. owner says it has a small hydraulic leak, asking price of 6500.00 good overall condition is the leak a big expense and is that a lot of hours or not?

depends on whats leaking....

i can guarantee one thing, once you fix the leak, others will show up.
you're looking at 25 year old hoses....
