A friend of mine's Father died a few years ago and left him with a mixed bag broken tractors and equipment that have sat in a field for many years, He doesn't have time to fix any of them and ask me what I could do since I have worked on some of them in the past.
I decided to grab the 1965 CASE CK 530 Loader backhoe since it looked most likely to run. It took awhile but I did manage to get it running (bad gas and dirty carb) got stung a few times then drove it out of the field and onto a new tilt body trailer, rated for 14000 lbs. this wasn't easy without brakes, (Managed) we hauled it to my Garage about 30 miles away using my friends new Chevy 3500....that was a mistake. this tractor is HEAVY, we couldn't get it over 40 without it swaying, it was a long crawl home.
So now that it's here I realize that I don't have the service manual all I have is the parts manual and Hydraulics, I would like to fix the brakes and the electrical system, right now its held together with bubble gum and bailing wire. anybody got a clue where I can pick up a service manual? and tell me what size engine is suppose to be in here, its a gas 4 cyl, but I dont know its size.
