I have the 323e with about 1600 hours. Serial number 1T0323EMVHJ322974. Since I have had the Machince it has had the code ecu 412.03 exhaust gas temp 1 1665.1
And 2 1666.2

When I would track the Machince it would drop from 2700 to 2200 rpm’s but still had good hydraulic power when it came to lifting and moving.

The other day I was moving dirt and a new code came up that said hydraulic temp out of range and the fan cut on high but soon went away. I looked to see what the temp was reading and it was -33 degrees. After that happened though the machine didn’t have hardly any power at all. Barely moves, can hardly turn and lift. I deleted the codes but it didn’t change how the machine works now. Can someone help

Welcome to HEF Trbstng92;)!

Sounds like your engine is still in a derated condition. Go back into codes and double check that none returned (active or stored). That 412.03 code will derate your engine. So, to get your power back, that needs to be repaired, if active.

412.03 is the EGR Temperature Signal out of Range High

The hydraulic temp going out of range is most likely a connector or wiring issue. Could be the sensor as well. If the controller sees anything out of the ordinary with the temperature sensors, it will automatically default the fan speed to high and also defaults the temperature reading to some negative number.

So the 412.03 comes back every time I delete the codes. Is it pretty common to just need to replace the sensor for that

Yes you’re correct the fan cuts to high and readings go to negative. Could you direct me to where that sensor would be

The last one I did was the sensor, however I always insure the wiring and connections are good first.

It is on the left rear side of the machine (accessed from the left engine side shield) at the bottom of the hydraulic reservoir (under a big hose for your convenience). It might be the sensor, or it might be the wiring or a connector (same as above, troubleshoot the wiring and connections first).

So is the 412.03 code for exhaust gas temp or egr temp. Just trying to make sure exactly which sensor I’m looking for.

Could you direct me to where it’s at
