    Bobcat T86 Door

Depends on the package it has. The regular door is glass. You have to upgrade to a forestry package to get the lexan door. You should be able to talk to the parts dept and see what a new door would cost. I wouldn’t run a glass door doing forestry work.

    T86 vs 333g

We are using them for training operators. Mostly grading out dirt building pads and the occasional rock pad. They have a pretty easy life here and are maintained at all the intervals listed in the manuals using OE fluids. I just saw that you said t86. Sorry my bad…. If they are anything...

    T86 vs 333g

We have a t76 Bobcat and absolutely love it. it Has around 659 hours on it now and only had an issue with the parking brake button. It would randomly apply the parking brake. It was replaced by Bobcat under warranty. The new series have great visibility and very smooth controls. We also have...

    Cat 420F2 aftertreatment issues

Update on the repair.. we had a guy come and look at it and he ran through everything I did. When it all checked out ok he called the dealer and checked on the ECM software like what was mentioned here. They had a newer version available and sent him the file. We updated the software, but...

    Cat 420F2 aftertreatment issues

Yes, it came in with and still has just the one code 4364-2. It would not run the test until after I cleaned out the mixing chamber and replaced the DEF injector and outlet N0x sensor. Once I did those two things it would run the test and passed it 3 separate times. I don’t understand why...

    Cat 420F2 aftertreatment issues

The engine software is 610-0506. Do you think its best to replace those sensors in pairs, vs. just only replacing the outlet?

    Cat 420F2 aftertreatment issues

Yes I replaced the outlet sensor. It came in with the 4364.2 code for erratic signal, so I was suspecting the sensor. I will have to check and post the the part number on Monday. I don’t remember it off the top of my head. If it is a software issue, can the update be done with the customer...

    Cat 420F2 aftertreatment issues

I don’t have the serial number with me. I’ll get it on Monday when I’m back at the shop. The trouble shooting for the code says check to see if the inlet and outlet sensors are in the right location and not swapped. They are in the right location. After verification it says to run the...

    Cat 420F2 aftertreatment issues

Ok. I still have an active code of 4364-2 as well. Is it supposed to clear itself out when the fault is fixed? I have followed the troubleshooting procedure in the service manual and everything checks out ok And passes the function check. I have been talking with the tech support from the...

    Cat 420F2 aftertreatment issues

Hi, I have a Cat 420F2 that has current fault 4364-2 - N0x conversion efficiency erratic signal. It also has 3 operator inducement events. It is in limp mode due to the operator ignoring the alarm. The service manual says that the in and out sensors are installed in the wrong locations. I...

    Takeuchi vs Bobcat

I dont think you can compare the old 863 and 864 models to the newer t770's and newest t66 and t76. To OP - No way there are not any computers on the new Tak machines. As far as the controls, both are very smooth. Tak's seem very jerky the first time you are on one, but once you are used to...

    Mud mats/matting boards

I needed something similar for a project at home and I rented composite mats. I've used them at work and we drove 100k lb cranes across them with no issues. They work great and dont splinter or get water logged like wood mats. I rented them from Sunbelt for $5 a week and I think I had the option...

    Advice on getting into operating.

Before spending money on a school contact IUOE local 701 and find out about their apprenticeship program and get paid while you learn. 701 covers Oregon if thats where you are wanting to stay. Most locals will help you get your CDL while an apprentice. Having a CDL can get you quite a bit of...

    Characteristics of a good operator?

If he gets into the apprenticeship program the instructors will teach him how to be productive. There's alot of jobs where speed is discouraged and safety is number one. Most industrial work they would rather you be slow and steady and the job completed safely rather than going in and cowboying...

    Grading with a skid steer?

Seems like with most contractor's a 953/963/973 is becoming a thing of the past. Compact track loaders are getting so big and move a lot faster with a better ride. I still enjoy running them when I get a chance though.

Need help on c8500 not starting

I believe they make test relays similar to what you're describing. They have a rocker switch to turn them on. The Mac Tools guy around here carries them

Need help on c8500 not starting

I swapped with the horn relay and the horn was working. It’s broke down in the middle of a field so I had to work with what I had. I didn’t see any fuse box under the dash.
