    C238- no glow plug timer

After some searching. Trying to get a plan together. I keep my c238 out in a shipping container on my land. I went out to fire it up as it had been a while. Sit down, lights come up, but the start button doesn't kick the glow plugs on. Machine will turn over. Sputtered a few times. But we're...

    Homestead Machine Recommendations Needed

I'll add another note going into winter 2. As long as I get down to base gravel when scraping snow out, I am far better off. I also got a new truck this spring, the tires on it can't even get me in the gate. So I walk in. Grab the track machine and clean out well. Worth noting. I did bring out a...

    Case TR320 soleniod voltage

Just got my NH c238 back after having some major wiring surgery. Initially suspected diodes, which indeed were shot. But in addition a bunch of worn wiring. Particularly in the harness in the ceiling. After the repair I probably should have just gone with a brand new harness. Point of all this...

    New Holland L223

These diodes are accessible only by lifting cab correct? My machine has been sitting a few weeks, just got this same code. Only issue is its parked inside a shipping container and access will be a bear.

Hourly Rates for attachments on 289D CTL?

Another option is you can look for your AED rate on equipment watch, most equipment under contract goes for somewhere in the 75%-85% AED. However my methods are more for large commercial work. Smaller projects you may just need to do the math on your break even point

Hourly Rates for attachments on 289D CTL?

To get to that cost, first you need to determine what its costing you. For my personal machine, I dont hire it out. For our company equipment first take your cost+ fuel+ maintenance + depreciation. Thats your EQ rate. Then your time. Then your attachment cost. Owned? Rented? Maintenance cost...

2016 Kubota SVL 90-2 losing power going uphill. Any suggestions? Thx!

I was going to say that is just how they behave on grades until I watched the video. That grade doesn't appear very steep. I cut in the road on my new land last year, at the peak was 14% grade. I definitely was losing speed on that grade. Brought a case dozer out to cut to a more acceptable peak...

    Homestead Machine Recommendations Needed

I wanted to update. So we finally got some ice on the ground That is sticking around. Ice + hill + tracks= no good. I have to bring in some small material to put down in front of me just to get back up. Now I know. I'll be cutting in a far less steep drive in the spring.

    Homestead Machine Recommendations Needed

As a newer home owner skid steer owner ill chime in with my thoughts. I have some rugged land in southern Wisconsin. Densely wooded. Drive is about 3/8 mile. Some minor grade changes. But the initial stretch is pretty nasty. Peaks at a small section of about 11% grade. I put down over 200 ton of...

    NH aux hydraulic rocker switch

Anyone had to replace the rocker switch before. Went to plow yesterday. Was getting nothing from the aux function. Checked fuses. Nothing blown. Switch is available, about $250. Seems like a simple enough repair

Storing CAT 259D for the Winter

Funny the notification came up. Sure enough I jump in my machine and a big field mouse is right at my feet. So now I added poison too. The mice can choose which to respond to. The pouches or the poison.

New to CTL... looking for t180 info

On the outside of the drive. There will be at least one port the screws in. Position it at 6 o clock. Remove slowly there will be some pressure. Allow to drain. Slowly creep the machine forward until port is at 12 o clock ( a helper is useful ) Then fill to spec. Should be that simple. Some...

New to CTL... looking for t180 info

My new holland also serviceable from the outside ports. I would double check that info. Seems like way to much work for a routine service item

Get some of the rodent repellant pouches as well. Mice get in and like to chew.

    NH seat heat air ride

Thought I'd share in case anyone has the issue. Air ride would deflate. No seat heat. Blown fan fuse. After reluctantly pulling the seat. Not horrible. But not fun. Turned out I had an unwelcome guest living under the seat. Chewed through several wires. Was shorting out the 20 amp heater...

Bobcat D3905 & D3907 Left Joystick not in Neutral Codes

I get a neutral code in my NH too from time to time. With age, you can feel some slop in the assembly. I talked to my NH mechanic. He said as long as I can jiggle them and get it to clear. Its not worth paying to calibrate. Will one day require replacement.

    Nh 238 fuel guage

Was working fine. Topped off fuel. Quit working. Is the entire float assembly a single piece? Looks to be accessible from top of tank.
