New owner of a Yanmar SV40

Took delivery of a '21 SV40 today. It's replacing a 1988 Mitsubishi MS035. Talk about night and day. Heat, stereo, six-way blade, and A/C. I could live in it. There is going to be a steep learning curve.

Would Dual Dozer or Level Best Scraper be appropriate here?

Trying to find a suitable replacement for the dual receiver Trimble GCR system on a 7' Dual Dozer without having to replace the solenoids and valve body.

    Question on Trimble GCR-2SM

I'm currently using them on a Dual Dozer, and I'm wondering if there is, or who makes, a suitable replacement for the GCR-2SM machine control system.

Mustang 2040 just quit at idle.

Engine was just idling and it quit. Went to start it again and it would start but not run continuously when the key was returned to "run". It would start and run if I held the key in "start". I found that the 10 amp "lockout" fuse was blown so I replaced it with another 10 amp fuse. It then...

    Red vs. Green

Probably a dumb question, but do laser receivers really care if the beam is red or green?

Need better rotating laser for IMC

    Mustang part or info needed.

Mustang 2040 bucket tilt solenoid. Solenoid # MSA 9506/0138 Spool lock kit # 170-34702 Golden Eagle wants $282.08 for a single spool lock kit but they don't offer the solenoid separately (a little pricey??). Wonder if anyone knows of an alternate part or a better place to shop. I...

    Bucket teeth for hard pan.

I know this has probably been hashed over many times but I simply cannot find any threads on it. My question is quite simple; What is the best recommended tooth for working caliche? My mini is a '88 3.5 ton, four tooth 21" digging bucket, Mitsubishi OEM. Maybe Cat? Thanks.

    Seat for mini-ex

I need a new seat for my Mitsubishi 3.5 tonner. It doesn't have joysticks so I don't have the luxury of sitting back and working, instead there are full motion ISO levers. The OEM seat is in perfect condition but was designed for people of slighter stature, hence my back aches. Northern Tool has...

    Thumb question

I'm having a thumb and quick-attach coupler installed on my dipper, and I'm talking to the shop owner about it. He says he intends to install a relief valve. Can anyone tell me why you would need a relief valve in a thumb circuit? I alway thought, because I was taught, that the main system...

    Hydraulic oil question

Is anyone using a multi-vis ISO AW 32/46/68 hydraulic oil? I use it in the dozer and skid steer, curious how it would be in the excavator. http://www.hydraulicfacts.com/Hydraulics-101/ABC-Hydraulic-Fluid-Selection.html

    Hydraulic system flush

I noticed that my hydraulic oil has moisture contamination (slightly milky colored). Anyone know of a method to flush the system to remove the moisture? I plan on changing the oil & filter anyway. Thanks

    Mitz MS035 question

I have a Mitsubishi MS035 (as grey as they get) and I'd like to put a hydraulic thumb on it. So my question is this: Does anyone know if the valve block has a power beyond port. This machine is comparable in size and vintage to a Takeuchi TB35, 3.5 tons. Thanks.

    Trimble GCR-2SM

I recently acquired a Trimble GCR-2SM receiver but no manual came with it. I looked on Trimble's website and got nowhere. Anyone know where I can beg, borrow, or steal a manual? Also need an electrical connector.
