I just got home from the truck show; and boy was it a good one. The weather was good aside from a brief thunderstorm that rolled thru around lunchtime on friday. I just wanted to start a thread to share some pictures in hopes others will chime in too. I will say it was good to be amongst a crowd...

    Turning 50 kinda sucks.

Since I am hovering around 50 (49) This thread speaks to me too. I’m active and mobile no complaints..but I sure wish I was more diligent with eye and hearing protection in the earlier years of my work life. My eyesight is agingI noticed recently during my CDL physical I really had to squint to...

Just chiming in here: l went to a local Napa to get wheel seals for an R model Mack I was quoted $88.00 per for the rears! Plus a shipping fee! Pastures full of Honey Locust Trees

My neighbor used to use a pair of Belgian draft horses to skid logs. One time he was clearing the edge of an old field he hitched the horses to a Black locust tree while he was sawing. The horses munched on the locust bark; causing them to founder and they had to be euthanised. Black locust is...

Electric coming to your transit company?

When it comes to electric vehichles it is never mentioned they too have carbon footprint. The collection batteries do not stand the test of time and will ultimately create more waste. Just like there are many vehicles waiting for computer chips which is due to a mineral shortage solar panels are...

    W900 Worth Saving?

I think that truck is a worthwhile candidate since it is torsion bar suspension. I would put a Cat 1673 to the 5x4 trans. The truck looks like an old Tate Bros. paving of Hudson N.H. 92u3406 you have a worthy looking project it is like a blank canvas lot of possibitities!

    Thermodyne question

I don't think the rail is bowed/ bent but I will have to look harder. It is a double frame and it was a dump truck in its younger days. There is surface rust but not too bad for a truck that has been outside in New England for the past 62 years!
