    Cat 215, some questions

Once you get the fuel system lines hooked back up priming that machine with the hand primer pump is nearly impossible. You can remove a line from the filter housing and use a hand suction pump on the line to draw the fuel out of the tank and then hook the line back up and use the machine hand...

    Cat 215, some questions

you can add new fuel suction and return lines to the tank and abandon the old ones if they are rusted with holes. The only way to tell is with a bore scope camera. The lines are on the other side of a center baffle in there and you can’t see them. Just use stainless lines with bulkhead fittings...

    Cat 215, some questions

You may have a leaking track brake on the right hand final drive. When it leaks internally it will go by the outer seal and into the final drive. A good way to tell is remove the vent on top of the brake and with the engine off the hydraulic fluid that operates the brake will drain out and not...

    Cat 215, some questions

Some advice for you. Be sure to check your final drive oil levels.it is different than the hydraulic system. There is a fill plug on the side of each unit, fill it till oil comes out, you’re not supposed to use gear oil they say it bad for the duo cone seals. Some thing for the swivel drive...

Cat 215 3304 no power under load

A65l. This machine is designed to be operated at full throttle. The relief pressure for the boom bucket stick are 4000psi and travel is around 5k, The swivel system has a much lower relief pressure of 2000psi which is why engine will not lug down as easily with swivel. You must use full throttle...

    Jd 450b final drive oil

I assume this is the level plug, I’m going to fill it until it come out the holes. I don’t see any way to drain it with out removing the pan, maybe I could pump most on it out.

    Jd 450b final drive oil

Trying to figure out how to check the final drive oil levels on my 450b and can’t find any info. Do the final drives get their oil from the transmission, I know they take 6qts each of the same oil. If the procedure is in the manual I’m too dumb to find it

Deere 450b lever under air filter on floor

I got a 450b with a lever on the floor under the air filter, I have no idea what it is. The trans 1,2,3,4 and the HLR shifter is on the right side arm rest so I don’t think it has anything to do with that. I have not tried to move this lever as it looks like it hasn’t moved in decades. Any guess...

    Cat 215 concrete breaker removal

So here is the main valve that the breaker gets its supply from. It’s hooked to the circled area and there is no pilot that turns on and off to supply the aux valve. This same port is capped on the main valve for the other pump. So why when I cap this side does the pump build pressure?

    Cat 215 concrete breaker removal

I have a cat 215 95z00480 that had a breaker on it at one time.there is an aftermarket solenoid operated aux Valve with one line for the supply, one line for return, one line for the breaker and a smaller line that went from the bottom of the solenoid valve to the return to tank in the main...

    Cat 225 travel brake leak

Well it looks like it’s is most likely the first drawing since there is a large nut and no snap ring on the motor side. Now to figure out how to disassemble it

    Cat 225 travel brake leak

that one is completely different than the drawing I have, looks like that might be the one. I don’t remember seeing that large nut inside though, I’ll get back over there in the morning and compare. Thanks

    Cat 225 travel brake leak

I have a cat 215 with what I think is a 225 undercarriage on it based on pic’s on the internet and that it is 9’ wide. I am looking for the repair section and the parts break down for a 225 travel brake since the ones in my books are different. My serial is 95z00480. I believe my brake seals are...
