    Bobcat M600

I'm building a garage, and the excavator guy seeing my ferguson to-30 with FEL said i could save $2500 if he could just pile hte dirt up and leave it. I said absolutely, I'll be happy to deal with it. Then I realized a few years ago I moved 250 yards of dirt with that ferguson and it **** near...

Hydraulics get painfully slow when warmed up

Here's a video of it progressing. I'd love to get this fixed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9aC4Bl0oofM

    Pictures of your Backhoe!!!!!

When purchasing my hoe, I really wanted a 580ck. Unfortunately the prices at the time just weren't right. I'm not sure why my hydraulics aren't at the 580 level though, as I'm in the same HP range. I'm still learning about hydraulics so I'll figure it out at some point. Here's a video of a dig...

    Pictures of your Backhoe!!!!!

I just rebuilt the rear spools and all hoses were replaced to the tune of just over $500. I've removed tree's, shrubs, stumps, and other random things. Works hard, is fairly decent on fuel, and other than the rear stabilizers having a hard time lifting the back up, has enough power to do pretty...

Hydraulics get painfully slow when warmed up

Whenever I start up my '51 ferguson, the bucket is lightning fast and silent, full power. After 10 minutes or so it starts whining, making odd sounds, but still full power. 20 minutes after that, it slows down. 30 minutes after that, I can't even lift a bucket of dirt, it just sits there...

How to Install New Instrument Gauges in Old 580 CK

Spot welds and htey're rusted. I bought it to use it first, restore it later. Restoring it is going to be some job when I get there. My tins are all a mess, yours look pretty great though, I'm jealous.

How to Install New Instrument Gauges in Old 580 CK

I am a bit jealous. One of the things that is stopping me from doing work like that on my '52 oliver is the fact that the panel, cover, side shrouds, are all spot welded together. Removing it would be ugly on a good day. I'm waiting until I can get some nice sheet metal and remake it from...

Best Place to Buy Hydraulic Hoses?

Theya re good hoses, rated way over what the machine is rated for. They should be good forever. The only thing I regret is not replacing the rest of the hoses, but $$$. Considering it's a personal machine for yard work and not a work machine that makes me a living, the wife was calling me about...

    '52 Oliver 77 & '51 Ferguson TO-30

I've debated a roll bar, but the land is fairly flat. The wheels are out, and I'm not moving great amounts of dirt with the bucket, just smaller amounts. It's primarily for grading iwth the 3pt and with the bucket. My oliver is the real dirt mover, 55hp vs 30hp, power steering vs not, and a much...

Best Place to Buy Hydraulic Hoses?

I got all my new hoses from a local shop, http://www.clarkindustrialsupply.com/. I took my old hoses in said I needed 6 of this, 2 of that, 2 of that, and 1 of each of those. Guy said no problem, give me 10-15min. Disappeared into the back and 10min later reappeared with 10 shiny new hoses...

    '52 Oliver 77 & '51 Ferguson TO-30

I have the narrow bucket too, but the narrow bucket isn't useful for much for me. The setup is the same that was sold for the 8n, I've seen quite a few of them. Not many have the dump cylinder though. It's to long, though, it won't curl all the way back to get a good bite. Still works great for...

    '52 Oliver 77 & '51 Ferguson TO-30

Today I went at clearing brush again, cleared 3 tree's, and got my ferguson stuck while grading. I forgot I had dumped an old rain barrel there, and the front wheel sunk up to the axle. Tree's behind me, I couldn't go backward or forward. I took my oliver over and put a lift strap around the...

    '52 Oliver 77 & '51 Ferguson TO-30

Finished rebuilding the spool valves on my '52 Oliver, yesterday I spent some time clearing some brush out. After that, I took out the '51 ferguson with bucket and blade and smoothed everything out. Still a bit of work to do, but it's much improved from how overgrown it was. The railroad ties...

    Ford A-64

I hope "cheap" is a relative term for tires that size. Also, you'll probably only be considering local supply, as shipping something of that magnitude would be next to impossible, and likely the cost would eat up any savings you were to get from doing so. I'd find a local case or cat dealer...

    trouble disconnecting hydraulic hoses

Elephant had a top speed of about 1 on a good day. Was pretty neat though. Didn't change any fittings. All new hoses are on, got u cups to replace the old ones in the valve body. Started up and moved around, everything is great except the last valve leaks still. But the stabilizer valves...

    trouble disconnecting hydraulic hoses

Thanks, I figured it was something like that, but wasn't sure. The new hoses are rated at 4500psi, the old were 2250psi, so these should be good for the life of the machine. Most of the old hoses that came off were 50+ years old. They were a real challenge to get off.

I need to buy more, I only have one 1" open end, and the other end is my one 1&1/8". I was not prepared for this.

    trouble disconnecting hydraulic hoses

Went to TSC. They had the hoses, and for a great price! But upon closer inspection, even though the OD matched, the ID was much smaller, half of what the original was. This would kill flow, so I just bought 20 gallons of hydraulic fluid, on sale for $25 per 5 gallon bucket. Found a place...
