    Hitachi 120-2 excavator

Anyone have a diagram of the fuse/box diagram for a hitachi 120-2? The tracks are sluggish and only move in high mode though the swing and boom seem fine. Starting to diagnose what it could be and found a blown fuse that blows immediately upon replacement. Thank you!

    pins on rubber tracks

The pins on my hitachi ex 60 seem to be getting flat and not as round when it was bought. With all rubber tracks do the pins get turned? Do the chains get replaced? Do the whole tracks need be replaced? does anyone have prices for all these senarios? Thanks much:Pointhead

more on building a dump package

ideally I would like something w/ between 280-300 hp w/ a straight 6 or 7 but a 9sp would be good. Though I really don't want to go beyond $10,500. That's why I'm weighing my options. I know this is alot to expect for that price range.

more on building a dump package

I realize this has been posted before, though what would be the estamated cost on putting a new or used 10'long 30"side dump box from soup to nuts together on a single axle cab and chassis. I'm really looking for the cost to buy used and don't know what's involved or needed to go from the box to...

    blade pushing limits

xalexjx all good points. I ask this because I did a septic job where it was all clay and I tried too push 3'-4' piles of the material in an effort to grade out the fluff part of the job. I realize excavators are not ment for pushing though it is tempting when your at the close of finishing a job...

    blade pushing limits

What would you say is the limit to the amount of material to be pushed by the blade on an hitachi ex-60 size machine before problems could occur?:Banghead

    Maximum GVW

I pull a hitachi ex-60 w/ a 429 gas 1988 F-800 and I am maxed out. I am in the process of upgrading to a single axle w/ 270 hp+ diesel. I couldn't imagine trying to pull a 120 size excavtor with even a f-700 diesel. I got my truck from a farmer who treated it like a cream puff and gave me a no...

What you use to haul a D3 size dozer

I agree strongly w/ror76a, for the small amount of going a little beyond in your needs is worth a world of piece of mind. Mr Frazier couldn't be more on the mark when it comes to complying w/ DOT. They will recognize when your making the attempt at being safer than needed and if you don't they...

    dozer suggestions

compare dozers Is a 450 case the match for a 450 JD, and I heard of a statement made in an earlier quote that the case engines had problems in earlier years; is that corrected w/ an over haul or rebuild? Thanks......:beatsme Sorry if I'm jumping in asking this question

    dozer suggestions

Outstanding Info What you guys summed up for someone on dozers was better than a chiltons manual on how to fix something...thank you...All I thought was very good info...though I think JD dozers run a little slower than cat which makes grading a little easy for the beginner.

    Deuce and 1/2

Is the 6x6 and or the tandem axles good enough to pull something in the range of a 9 ton excavator?
