Case 580K ?
I run a 580K and what you are describing is typical if you apply to much force to the pedals as bluestreak mentioned. You have to apply smooth steady inputs otherwise it will swing violently. It will get better as you become more comfortable with the machine.- KingRanch

Sounds like they are doing a lot of the fabrication work abroad and then shipping in the assmbled pices to the US so even thought it is still American workers buildinging the bridge they are using Chinese workers to build the pieces.
