    PTO "power take off" info/help needed

    theres usually atleast 3 gaskets a pto has to be shimmed properly i believe .050 is a good starting point

    Who makes this dump body?

    I dunno if they'll have the answer or not but you might try http://www.fordification.com - they deal with 67-72 fords specifically so someone there might know what box it is. If not its a great place to find info on your truck, i have a 69 f250 myself :thumbsup

    Looks good, and with that many hours on it the cursed 3024c head gasket will probably not be an issue (they seem to blow right around 500) :thumbsup

    Problem with Cat 248

    The 248s i worked on if i remember correctly would start fine without the seat belt on but would not move intil your seat belt was on and the lap bar lowered.

    Best place to find 18k pound front springs?

    Just to add to what was said, if you do go looking for a used axle make sure to checkout the used axle's king pin bore and make sure it isn't going to need sleeves or anything. and i would consider putting new kingpins in your truck since everything is apart it will save you $$$ in the end
