CAT D6R w/C9 fluttering under load

Have you checked fuel transfer pump inlet pressure? You'll have to put a tee with a gauge in the inlet of the transfer pump. At high idle if you see more than 11-12inHg vacuum change your water separator first. If it's still got lots of vacuum start looking for a kinked or twisted fuel supply...

    CAT D7E no hi drive?

Actually, the D7RII and D7E use the same track groups with HD undercarriage. Not sure if System 1 is available on D7E yet but that will be a different track group p/n. D7RII and D7E has the same track pitch links and even the exact same number of links. I think the track roller frame is...

    D11T we delivered recently.

Multi-shank rippers aren't as common on a D11 as the single shank. They really aren't all that common on a D10 either.

    D11T we delivered recently.

The transmission on a D11 protrudes past the case by quite a bit, the D10 is pretty much flush with the case. The engine enclosure doors are a dead giveaway too, different perforation pattern, the D10 has a unique perforation unlike anything else that Cat has. You can get a D11 with a large...

    Biodiesel questions?

You won't save a dime using biofuel. Soybeans are up near $15/bushel which drives the cost of soybean oil up. B100 will probably be $5/gal. Edit: Looking at soybean oil futures on Chicago board of Trade shows soybean oil around $0.5514/lb, this converts to $4.21/gal. I think you only...

what pics of equipment do you want to see??

Thanks These machines are amazing and so unique. The biggest demand for pipelayers right now is Russia and China. But expect that as the US pipeline infrastructure degrades that we'll see a lot of work going on in the US and Canada.

    the new Cat D6's.....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7dc7G78PCc D6T on the left D6RIII on the right, notice the decreased turning radius on the D6T. Both machines have the same undercarriage and tracks. I've had the opportunity to operate both and the D6T is fantastic. Steering control is on par or exceeds...

    the new Cat D6's.....

The D6T has MVP which is a "soft" gear between 1st and 2nd and between 2nd and 3rd. It is entirely software based. It is a feature that can be turned off using a rocker switch in the cab. Basically when shifting to the next gear the transmission shifts up and slows the engine. On the next...
