    Case 95XT

Hi Lads. My 95XT lost all its hydraulic oil while sitting for 4 months or so. Just dumped it all into the bilge then on the ground. Yah I know GREAT. So I guess probably the suction hose from tank to pump. Also this machine being 20 years old is having these failures one at a time. I'm...

    Hough H90C

I have an 8v71 which would have to be rebuilt but I also have a used but good running Cat 3176. I'm tempted to use it. Might be a tad long for the H90 engine room but wonder if I could make her fit.

    Hough H90C

That is a good idea. Millions of Detroits were built but they seem to be rapidly disappearing. I've advertised fer parts but not much response.

    Hough H90C

Thanks guys. Good to hear somebody else has done this. With the dvt573 being obsolete and so few made repowering is the best option I think. I will have to wait until I get it apart to find out the details.

    Hough H90C

The hp difference is not too significant. My first concern is no parts available for the 573 or I might consider rebuilding it. Plenty of parts for the 8v71. I know some Hough H90cs had the little brother 6v71. I'm amazed that the engineers at Cornbinder got that 573 to make such low HP with...

    Hough H90C

Thanks kshansen. Looks to me as if the 8v71 and dvt573 are about the same size physically but the DD makes 318 hp compared to say 260 for the binder.

    Hough H90C

I have a Hough H90C. It looks like the DVT573 International in it is tired and parts non existent for it. I'm thinking of swapping in a Detroit 8v71 for which rebuild parts are readily available plus I just happen to have one sitting outside my shop. Anybody here have any experience with this...

    Many thanks for your reply.

    Hough H90C

No it was smokin pretty good. Engine is showing 3000 hours which is probably from rebuild but as is often the case they may not have had the injectors overhauled.

    Hough H90C

Recently bought a Hough H90C. It runs and I drove it a bit but needs injectors overhauled from the look of all the black smoke. Also I see that PowerMax engine parts are available for the big DVT 573 cornbinder. Does anyone have an opinion on their parts good or bad? I know the loader is a good...

    Kobelco SK130LC auxiliary valve trouble

Just trying to get my "extra and breaker" hyd circuit working on the SK130lc. There is pilot pressure to the spool housing of the auxiliary valve at 500psi when I activate the foot valve. Pilot pressure at the pilot pump is 700 psi. No reaction from the main circuit the thumb doesn't move as if...

    95 XT Belt Squeal

Posting this so others hopefully will not go thru what I did. Had an awful squeal coming from my 95 XT skid engine room. I replaced the alternator first as it is usually the bearing that goes first. Not much difference. Also water pump (saved it for a spare for my other Cummins 4BTs). Little...

    Kobelco hydraulic excavators

Kobe130 Swing Problem. Thanks GrandKobelco and Adam. I did discover a fitting with stripped threads (previous mechanic) where the fitting appeared to sit normally but as soon as I turned a hose fitting on the end it basically fell out of the swing control motor valve block. In the process of...

    Kobelco hydraulic excavators

Thx guys you were right on the money. Teed into Pi2 at the regulator - pressure goes from 700 psi to almost zero when arm is operated and it moves just fine. Swing pilot action drops the pressure hardly at all and - almost no swing. Checked tees and most valves today - found nothing amiss...

    Kobelco hydraulic excavators

Thx GrandKobelco, pretty sure the pilots are not mixed up as the way they sit it would be difficult to do. This problem existed before I did any work on the TRVs. When I took delivery of the machine it had very slow swing and very weak right side traction. Traction both sides is now strong. I...

    Kobelco hydraulic excavators

Kobelco SK130LC Swing Trouble Experienced Kobelco hands I need your help on this one. Finally sorted out my travel problem. Minimal travel on right side. Watched pressure gauge on right side go from 1500 psi to zero while I yarded on the control doing stall test. Now no travel at all. Swapped...

    Kobelco hydraulic excavators

Kobelco SK130lc 1998 with the Cummins 4BTemissions engine (replaced 2 years ago), I wonder if anybody else has noticed this issue on the same engine. Replaced all the fuel line to this engine including the diesel return line going back to the tank. The return line attaches to a very small 3/16 I...

Replacing OEM Hyd Cyl Pin Bushings

Thx Aiden, I have already ordered the INA bearings but for future reference are you able to supply OEM equivalent bearings/bushings for Kobelco I like your price on that unit.

Replacing OEM Hyd Cyl Pin Bushings

Thx Willy59, but they do not have the same size I need. It can be a chore to find aftermarket replacements. Sometimes I make parts myself if the OEM cost is just too much and then it can turn into a pretty good investment of time. Just bought some more CaseCE parts today and Case has just pushed...
