    long reach???

I had an aftermarket long reach for a 320 and switched back and forth to the standard set for a number of years. It worked great, I have no idea what brand it was, bought it from PCI in Reinbeck

328DLCR bucket to cab interference problems

Heymccall, Glad you found a suitable bucket, doesn't sound like your dealer was too concerned about this situation. I would find a new dealer. No one should sell a machine that will hit itself. To those who don't understand that, haven't run an excavator in the real world. To compare your...

    Rolled 2011 Cat 320??

After looking at the pics again, I bet they had the boom up, hit a bridge, then maybe fell from the trailer. Takes a lot to break a ram like that.

    Rolled 2011 Cat 320??

The damage sure is strange. That stick cylinder took one hell of a hit to break like that, but no damage to the side of the boom. Maybe something fell onto it, sure doesn't look like a roll over to me. Let us know what it brings at auction.

Good excavator for residential demolition. Opinoins,,,, commence...

You are right on the hauler, thats why we have 120 yd walking floor demo trailers for the landfill debris and sidedumps for the concrete. You can't get these in tight sites is the biggest problem. Anything smaller than a 200 size excavator, two story houses and buildings become a real...

    Truck purchase dilemma

No cross members with the AR 400 steel floors, the only way to go, I don't care what your hauling. Better to have the bends front to back then side to side ripples. The side to side ripples hold dirt, rock whatever your dumping, will never clean out even with a vibrator. Your right about the...

    Truck purchase dilemma

I have owned many dumps and I know everyones situation is different. All my used trucks were Ford LT 8000 and KW T800's, all great trucks, but like all trucks, constant money pits and too much down time. I ended up buying two new Sterlings in 2002 after figuring what my repairs and down time...

    320 CL electronic gauge panel

Fixed it, broken power wire under the lower plastic cover. Easy to fix, pita to find. Called Cat, first thing he said is to check the auto/manual switch under the arm rest. Thanks for the help. There is a dedicated fuse, marked monitor control. Thanks again

    320 CL electronic gauge panel

Thanks for the help, found this yesterday, knew I had seen it somewhere. This doesn't help my problem at all, but when would you need this manual throttle? My gauge and control panel is still a dark screen, seems there should be a fuse somewhere?

    320 CL electronic gauge panel

Thanks for the reply. I've seen the toggle switch your talking about on other machines but not sure I have one on this 320. Where are the possible locations? Thanks

    320 CL electronic gauge panel

Not sure of the correct name for the electronic gauge panel in a 320 CL, but mine quit lighting up. The machine starts and functions fine, but no gauges. Hopefully its just a fuse, any help is appreciated, Thanks

    CAT 320D excavator??

In the US used market, 320's are the hot machine. You can buy a 324 or 325 for very little more $, and up your production

    CAT 320D excavator??

The more important question is how many 25 ton trucks do you have to go the 6 mile one way trip and what their cycle time would be considering the terrain and traffic? Then you should size your excavator accordingly. Alot of variables here. Good Luck

    320 CL issue ??

my 320 CL with 2500 hr. has done this about 3 times, working it and then wanting to throttle down and shut off, nothing works. The throttle stays wide open and the machine will not shut off with the key. The console display shuts down but not the engine. After forcing the engine off by...

    Cat 320CL hyd. leak

Found my problem, worn hose starting to leak. Biggest problem was finding the one that was seeping, was not leaking much. Lots of hose under the cab, need a little monkey for jobs like this. Replacement hose from Cat doesn't seem as heavy as the original.

Shut off our 320CL and noticed a hyd oil smell. Looked under the cab and there a little oil seeping out of the access panel under the seat. Didn't have time to take off, what all is in that area? Thanks for the help
