Cut width was why I went with a 90. I have never run a 9 so I can't compare it to the 25. The 25 out works any of the oval track 8s I've run. Haven't had any trouble pulling grade yet :). It definitely knows it's back there though. Dirt -

Dresser 515c Transmission trouble
Thanks for the replys. Did the third gear test hunkered down under a big elm. Trans temp shot way up then cooled right down when I put it in neutral. Coolant temp climbed. Forgot to tell about that test. Am thinking about putting hytran in it for s and giggles. The internal leakage scenario...- dirtpoor

Cat 70 scrapper toughness?
That "neck" was what I was wondering about. Outside to outside on td pads is 9'2". 70 is 10' wide, is that enough? Wheel tractor would only be used for small jobs that I needed to road a ways to. Called dealer about one this morning and told the salesman I would have a man there this afternoon... -

Purchased a 515c a few months ago knowing it had a problem dropping into reverse when the trans oil got hot. Trans fluid would get hot and say hot under a medium load such a roading in 3rd range. td25c low speed stg clutch ?
Thanks Rocko, I think I'm doing the adjustment right. A little confused about resetting the highside after making the internal adjustment. I backed off 2.5 rounds. The low side seems pretty clear. Is there a way to inspect/check the bellcrank without pulling the top off the case? Dirt -

Thanks RDG, I suspected the worn linings but didn't know about the bell crank issue. I can understand if the pivot point in the crank is sloppy or the crank is bent, it wouldn,t transfer the full stroke of the piston. It seems to me that something would show up when you go through the adjustment... -

Purchased a 25 this summer from a farmer knowing it slipped on the low side of the left strg control. He gave me a reman strg control cyl that was supposed to fix the problem. I checked the brake, high and low adjustments as per the operator's manual. The high side was 3/4 turn to loose. Checked...
