CAT 320N weak tracks, won't turn

It still switches from high to low range now, it is definitely weaker trying to turn in higher range. But you can feel it change as you are going. Another thing I will throw in is that when it had the low voltage problem and the tracks were working right it was stuck in high range and would not...

CAT 320N weak tracks, won't turn

I don't know what all tests he ran? He hooked gauges up to test ports around the pump but I was not there for the whole process so I don't know what exactly he did. I have heard a little about PRV solenoid issues through reading some other posts on here, are those the two blocks on the left side...

CAT 320N weak tracks, won't turn

When I redid the swivel there were old seals still in there, they we're hard and cracked up but mostly intact. I would like the throttle control to work but I'm stumped there too, it has a new $1100 throttle motor on it, the dial in the cab seems to be working cause the numbers on the display go...

CAT 320N weak tracks, won't turn

I have been searching through the posts on here trying to find someone that is having the same problem as I am but nothing yet and I am stumped so hopefully someone can shed some light on what's going on. About 6 months ago I bought a 93' or 94' CAT 320N serial number 1XM00141, I have owned...

Ford 7.8L cutting out at high rpm?

Yeah I never would have thought that was the problem. Its amazing how you can spend hours upon hours diagnosing and trying to figure it out and it ends up being something simple like this. I'm glad it was'nt the injection pump! It was definitely alot cheaper this way!

Ford 7.8L cutting out at high rpm?

I have an update on the truck, I took it over to an old school truck mechanic to see if he could figure it out. It took him a few days but he thinks hes got it going. He found out the fuel filter base was plugged up. I changed the filters but never thought about the filter base itself being the...

    Cold Start Injection

If its giving you trouble when it warm out then I would say theres something else wrong you need to address instead of putting a cold start system on it. What motor is in it? I'm not real familiar with case skid steers but some engines have glow plugs, others have grid heaters in the intake, and...

    Cold Start Injection

What is this on? My old deere backhoe is pretty cold natured and it helps to turn the steering wheel back and forth when cranking. I dont know the technical reasons but it does something to destroke the hyd pump and lessens the load on the starter so it cranks faster. I know alot of older deere...

    Upfitter needed

I had a Gooseneck brand flatbed on my last truck and was very pleased with it. They seem to be built well and very heavy. The truck I have now has a J&I that was on there when I bought it and I dont like it at all. The receiver hitch they put on them from the factory is just a couple pieces of...

    fuel transfer pump

I like fill rite pumps, we have 5 of them at work and they never give us any trouble. I dont think they pump as fast as advertised but they always work. I have a 15gpm model on my personal truck and am very pleased with it. I got mine off ebay new in the box for like $200 or so.

Lets see your "ultimate" service truck!

If you wanna run any electric tools your gonna need more than a 1000w generator. A friend of mine got a 1200w gen to help build a barn where he didnt have power yet and it wouldnt run a circular saw or a drill. We ended up borrowing one and just using his to run one work light and a dewalt...

Lets see your "ultimate" service truck!

Yes and No, Some years can be really good while others can almost break you. Kinda why I'm glad I just operate the equipment instead of pay for it. I know a few guys went under a couple years ago when fuel was over $4 a gallon and they had trouble finding work. We cut for the same guys every...
