    Advice

Minis with augers are the slickest way to put in holes, bit dangles straight, you can apply down pressure, and you can reach over obstacles.

Hog hunting, looking for places to hunt

Hi, I'm from Northern Pennsylvania. Thankfully wild hogs aren't a problem here. Myself and a buddy are set up with thermal night hunting gear and looking for a place to hunt hogs in the south. If your open to letting us hunt, we would be interested in killing some piggies.

    Best lifting attachment

Your already done with that bucket, but 1 thing I've found is to have a lift point on the coupler. In mini excavators, the lift at reach might only be 1 ton, and you have a 300 pound bucket there already... drop the bucket add capacity. As for the comment about welding to wear bars, he's...

Pics of mini exs in dump trailers please.

Trailer comes with 5 d rings welded in. I'm not always johny legal, but they always tied down. Put my compact tractor on it today... while it hauled it fine, im not selling my deckover.

    bucket quick couplers

Have a tag / wainroy on my takeuchi tb53 and a werk breu on my kobelco sk35. I have not had the kobelco long, so I can't say. But I hated the tag enough to tell the dealers that while I wanted a manual coupler, I wanted nothing to do with the tag / wainroy, 1500 hrs and very sloppy. The wb...

Best size grading/ditching bucket for KX057?

Just bought a long stick kobelco sk35 w/ counterweight & 36" smooth bucket. I cleaned up some muck at my log yard. The 36 did fine, not tippy at all. Meanwhile, I looked at a bobcat e35 and it was tippy with a 24... Are you counterweighted?

Pics of mini exs in dump trailers please.

So I've decided and been approved for a new kobelco sk35 canopy mini ex. I'm buying a dump trailer to haul it with. Looking at suretrac 7x12 12k & 7x14 14k units. The 14 has like 750# more empty weight, and 250# more cargo weight I will be renting both units out. I'm concerned that the...

Buying a new 35 class mini

Your likely right. Yanmar has best warranty with 4yr/ 4k hours. Kobelco is 2nd with 3/3k. If my numbers are right the machine should pay off 2x about the time warranty expires hours wise. And I'm thinking that at 1200 to 1500 hours it's time to trade machines anyhow. The Komatsu lost 8k...

Buying a new 35 class mini

After running 4 machines kobelco is 1 or 2 in performance, 1 on stability, 1 on price, 2 on warranty, 2 on financing. For a culmative top score. Have to wait til mar 1 for official $ numbers, but it's looking kobelco Komatsu digs possibly better, better visibility cause a 2 post canopy vs...

Buying a new 35 class mini

Damages would be covered thru my inland marine policy, or renters credit card. In a perfect world contaminated attachments would be caught by filter. Hard use unfortunately is a factor of rental life

Buying a new 35 class mini

Ksss, interesting that you as well noticed the yanmar having a weaker bucket #. I saw that as well and it's kinda significant as it's over 10% loss. Yes, id like a heavier machine, but... a 35 fits in a 12k dump trailer and rolls behind a 3/4 ton pickup legally. A 45 doesn't, I own a tak...

Buying a new 35 class mini

Looking to add a rental machine to my business. Have cat, deere, case, kobelco, komatsu, takeuchi, bobcat, and yanmar to choose from. Preferring to use mfg 0% 48mo financing. What brand would you all choose? So far it's a toss up between case, kobelco, and yanmar. Yanmar is including a hyd...

Basement digging tips, 160 vs 200 ex

Well i think your doing pretty good as it is with your 160. Personally i prefer the 140 or the 210 size. 160s are usually tippy and an unstable machine slows you down. I think the gummy bucket comments are spot on. Only run teeth of you need them, cutting edges are cheaper than teeth...
