Just like the sales guy said 5 days and i would have it. I thought i would see the UPS guy at my job and tell him he could drop it there but he braved the snow and left it at the farm.It was a very long week waiting for it and trying to get alot of stuff done. I have one bit i bought to make some holes in a KW frame but i left it at work now i am dying to try it out.
Oh yeah, if nobody mentioned it, with the drill chuck in, any standard bit over about 1/4" will be too long to clear. I have always kept an index full of high quality screw machine bits works great, and up to a point the reduced shank larger bits work, but anything starting at 1/2" and up I use a rotobroach, Cobalt or Carbide usually. Clearance holes I use metric for inch bolts and inch cutters for metric bolts usually works out somehow, lol.

I am going to get a set of machine length bits first then decide on the rotobroach bits. I got a 5/8 from Fastenal charged it to work they are about the highest place on earth $80.00. That would have been a big part of a set from any were else.

I'm sure there are cheaper places, but I usually order from MSC for cutters, taps, and quality drill bits. They offer a range of quality options typically. Truck frames are probably what, 50ksi or better? I know I've played hell getting drill bits through some. The plate we usually use for everything basically is 100ksi, doesn't mean it's hard to machine but still it ain't mild steel so the Ebay cutter sets don't last long. Have fun!

I assume these 20mm cutters are a clearance hole for 3/4 bolts and were bought in great quantity but dont really know 13 dollars including shipping is a steal though I have arm loads of them stashed

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Copperhead...723353&hash=item4b7567fd57:g:2FwAAOSwuxtc00KP

I have used lots of other cutters off ebay and have been impressed what the cheapest cutter can do for you I'm not drilling repetitive quanitys of holes so I dont wear them out fast just so handy to have lots of the cheaper ones around of differnt sizes

Absolutely, I use a 20mm for a 3/4" bolt and 13/16" for a 20mm bolt. Those carbide cutters are the cat's ass and the 20mm run me around $65 bucks a whack plus shipping! I've never run across a deal like that anywhere before, let alone on Ebay. Thanks! Ordering a shoebox full now!

I buy the carbide cutters since we do a lot or stainless pipe with a strap on v adapter and wear plate drilling. There's a place in town that sharpens and retooths them for a small fee.

Retooth? I figured if the carbide was busted they were scrap, though I have a bucket full of sizes for resharpening. Nobody I can find in Oregon resharpens, I send them out in batches to a guy in Iowa. Can I get a name in AZ?

I knew it could be done, just figured it would cost as much as a new cutter, lol.

Excellent, thank you! :)

That is one thing that is handy about the heavy old Milwaukee. The motor and pinion shafts have various mounting configerations that allow it to accomondate different length tooling and even allows one to reach futher away from the base if needed. it has Allen headed machine screws for adjusting.

Better tie that one off for when the battery goes dead. Could be pretty darn handy in some places.
Is the mag a permanit one ? The salvage store here had one it was a milwake but it was smaller. A buddy bought it he liked tools but was in bad shape health wise and died before he ever used it. It sold cheap at his auction but i didnt like the battery part.

I just watched the video. How in the heck do they get the magnet, probably permanent, to be on, half strength on, or off, without a battery in the drill? I'm confused.
