hello guys I’m guessing I’m in the rite place with my issues, well I purchased a tuff book with cat software installed an bout the ET with comm adaptor 3 , well sometimes ET hooks up an most of the time it throws the 142 code (witch retains to no communication) I’ve tryed multiple times to get the knuckle heads that sold me the unit to go threw team viewer an look it over, well they did one time an we finally got ET to work an when I had it hooked to my service truck I went into my ecm while he was there online with me while he was useing team viewer, well when I tryed to troubleshoot a active code ET asked for a caterpillar user name an passed, an when I asked him about that he told me to write the code down an look it up in sis, An when I went to calibrations an tryed changing settings to my ecm like mph or turning differ things in ecm on or off it has the screen to pop up again asking for usernames an passwords. An if I electronically disconnect from ET an try to rehook it up it gives the 142 code again, well I’ve been going in circles emailing the company for help an I can’t get any response back nor a tech service phone number for help, I use to work for a local cat dealer here an they want help due to I’m a field tech that got laid off yrs ago an they don’t want the Lil guys to have the software. I’m at the end of my biting my toung with the guys I purchased it from. Is there anyone out there that can help with my issues. Glade to pay for some tech support an help here. I’ve begged on several occasions for the guy to call me but he want An rarely responded to emails for tech support
