I have a cat 308D and i cant seem to get the A/C cold air to blow through the vents. There appears to be condensation and very cold to touch at a refrigeration line/block under the seat. When the A/C kicks in after pressing the on button the temperature lights on the A/C console light flash and i cant change the temperature as well as the vent light and i cant change vent settings. Any ideas??
Also where can i get my hands on a workshop manual that i don't have to remortgage my house for??
Thanks in advance

There are a couple of different control panels for those machines that I have seen. On the usual one there is a diagnostic system that can be turned on by having the key for the machine turned on and the air conditioning panel turned off. Hold down both temperature controls buttons for three seconds or more and the panel will start up in diagnostic mode. You can let up on the buttons when the display starts up. If there are any codes they will display an E and then a number. You can shift through codes but pushing the up and down temperature buttons. To clear the codes push the DEF button and the recirculation button for at least three seconds.

The usual problems with these systems is dirt in the linkages for the doors and the blower housing. No body, it seems changes, the intake filters or removes the plastic once in awhile to clean out under and around the operator seat.

Good Luck

Thank you John for taking the time to respond. I tried your advice in regards to activating the diagnostic system but my computer panel didn't go into diagnostic mode.

I will pull the seat out and check and clean all of the actuators hopefully on the weekend and post my findings.

Cheers
