I propose/mandate-because I started this thread, that anyone reading, posting thoughts or discussing
the future of Electric Vehicles vs ICE must-----------have a hairdo like Einstein and don a lab coat.

I can guarantee you that EVs are the future, the pros and cons are better than an ice engine. The only place where an ice engine is better is in energy storage, and the hybrid already fixes this.

Remember I earn my living in the oilfield.

When ice came about the first thing people said is "you want a fill station every 30 miles?"

The big problem with superchargers is Tesla can turn that feature off, and they have for people.

IMO, the worst possible thing that could happen to EV now would be over adoption without the necessary infrastructure to keep them charged. A hurricane evacuation up the Florida peninsula with vehicles out of power would also be a media nightmare. I can easily carry a lot of miles of range in a gas can.

It will be interesting when junkyards get enough junked EV that aren't burned out hackers can start scavenging parts. 200 hp battery powered log splitter anyone?

How long before there are jump packs for EV? Caught in a traffic jam and out of power? How much would a jump pack have to way to power a car to a charging station?

The batteries make for nice PV system, just only one brand makes a inverter to handle the Tesla parameters.

I can send one down a rabbit hole with EV's and how they can and do correlate to PV systems, but I digress since it gets ugly.
