D3 dozer steering problems

I have a 1987 d3 dozer machine was running fine, now when I press the left brake the right track doesn’t want to turn an will start to make a grinding noise, machine will come to a stop when left brake is pressed down

Sounds like you either have a steering clutch out of you got major hear problem ls on the right side

What was cause it to just go out like that, it does sound like it’s slipping

The undercarriage is the tracks, sprockets, rollers and idlers. The final drives and steering clutches are part of the drive train.

You will need to provide the full model number and the serial number of the machine in order to find out what you have.
