    replacment cab heater

Hey guys, I need to replace the heater unit in the gmk I bought. The webasto unit apparently gave the previous owner issues and he removed it and lost most of the parts. I see complete diesel systems on eBay as well as seen cranes with propane units. I still have the ducting and divrters...

    Hot tub

Smart move bringing in a bigger crane. Factor in a spreader bar and rigging you may end up closer to cap than you want. I find if they measure70' its really78 cause they measure how close you can back up to the house, garage ur whatever. Not to your center of rotation

    spreader bar

So I wound up getting a gmk2035. A little smaller than I wanted but I could not beat the price and so far it is incredible for tree work. However some local framers want to use me for non tree related stuff and it sounds like I need a spreader bar. One guy says he prefers a 16' bar as they...

    gmk3050

I wish there were some tms700/750b units out my way. There all down south. I'm dead set on nothing less than 110 main. That gmk at shawmut was one of the units I looked at. I think between the megatrac suspension and the costly to fix Mercedes I will keep looking. To bad there aren't and demag...

    gmk3050

I put less than 2,000 miles on my crane a year. I do trees and all my work is local. The ability to get into tight driveways and set up in such a small footprint is ideal. And with 125 of main and a hydraulic off suitable jib the only thing better would be a Chinook. Lol but yes the mega Trac...

    gmk3050

I'm currently looking at a couple well used grove gmk3050 20,000 hours. Anybody have any experience with these? I fear stuff like brakes are just to much money to justify the cost and I should just get a 38 ton boomtruck or a tms750. Those all terain features sure are tempting though

    canadian spread

so the truck I just bought which is a international 2674, with a prentice ts33 mounted behind the cab is turning out to be great for my tree service work, the power and reach of the boom is awesome, it is slow but I don't mind to bad. however it has a Canadian spread on the rear and 425 floats...

    First Dump Truck International 4900/466

yes you will need a cdl, class a if you plan to tow your backhoe with it. I don't see a trailer hitch or air to the rear on that truck which could cost 1,000 or more. recap drive tires can be had for closer to 250 each. the 8ll will help that truck go with only a dt466 unless you need the dump...

    l10 cummins jake brake

I noticed in this truck I just bought that the jake seems the same from low to high,,,2 stage jake. when its cold it seems to come on sluggish also, so I tested the voltage key on engine off and I am only getting 10 volts to one wire going in to the valve cover and 5 going into the other so I...

    3204 crank

I pulled the crank from the automotive machine shop who said it was toast and dropped it off a a machine shop who specialized in cranks, fingers crossed he can get it fixed up. I believe the machine only has 4,300 original hours but who knows, they bored it 40 over and it cleaned up fine. also...

    3204 crank

anyone ever had a crank straigtined machine shop says its out 25 tho? and its toast. I remember hereing about cranks getting trued up. my inframe has turned into a tear out because the cylinders were way to far gone for 3 ring pistons so its getting bored 40 over, I definatly don't wanna buy...
