Any of our Canadian members from around Campbell River?

I’m not a hunter but I would assume so. You need a guide though. Here’s some info: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/sports-culture/recreation/fishing-hunting/hunting/non-resident-hunting

All permits for people to hunt elk here on the Island are selected by a draw, with only a limited number of permits available each year. Scott

Pacific trucks in the logging industy

I agree this appears to be a questionable post. If this person was serious as a buyer, all they would have to do is zoom in on the photo and the phone numbers of the seller are clearly visible in the window. Then it’s pretty easy to pick up the phone and call them. Just sayin’. Scott

Hayesno1: Hi Kim, you are correct, it is me. Long time no talk to! Pete and I heard you were over for the Hayes show in Port. I didn’t go but Pete did. Unfortunately he didn’t see you. Yes, Kevin makes some pretty nice stuff and it certainly lends well to what I am modelling. I’ve got a couple...

Thanks Donkey Doc. I’ll add the horn later today. I know the top blocks aren’t exactly accurate but they will suffice for me. They are actually too thin and should have 2 sheaves (?) in each one versus the one sheave on the model. Good catch on the diagonal bracing in front of the radiator. Ill...

Thanks Donkey Doc, Hank and Haulback. It’s actually a 3D printed model from Clever Creek Miniatures out of Alberta. It’s only 4 pieces, including the grapple. I painted it, modified things a bit and added some extra details. The cables and rigging are all on now, so I’ll just add some more spot...

Hi there, I’m building a model of a Madill 044 Swing Yarder. Does anyone on here know where the horn is located on this brute. Thanks in advance! Scott

Hey Rusty Grapple, in reference to the red water tanker converted from a rail tank car in thread 401, would you happen to have any additional photos of this rig? I've got a feeling I need to build me one of these! Thanks Scott

Hayes trucks in the logging industry

Post 173 Hey hayesno1, would you happen to have more photos of the Hayes HDX line truck pictured in post 173? I am looking to model one in 1/87 scale using a Don Mills HDX and this one in Alliford Bay fits the bill. I am interested in any other photos you may have of it, and in particular shots...

Hayes trucks in the logging industry

Dystant Hayes Here's a couple of photos I took of some of Dennis Dystant's Hayes loggers in Campbell River in March 2009. Apparently these trucks had just come out of Toba Inlet shortly before the photos were taken and were being put up for sale. .
