    Thank you, sir, for the reply. I found out, much to my embarassment, that these units have a safety that prohibits the movement of the lift unless there is weight on the seat. And, if the connections or switch is bad, it will not life. Duhhhh/ Thanks! Ron

    Thank you sir - you are a gentleman and a scholar! It worked!!! Switch bypassed it the machine works. What a dumb idea...the safety shoud kill the motor. IT could run away with you if you're not in the seat. Oh well, that's why they het paid the big bucks, I guess. R
