Toro Dingo TX425 Muffler Bellows flex pipe keeps cracking

FYi, the clamps I used are what the new muffler and flex pipe came with.

Toro Dingo TX425 Muffler Bellows flex pipe keeps cracking

I did have to modify the muffler, and engine covers a touch as the flex pipe is longer and larger in diameter. Not too big a deal though.

Toro Dingo TX425 Muffler Bellows flex pipe keeps cracking

Can anyone offer advice on the clamps? I used copper anti-size on all bolts, but no pipe paste.

Toro Dingo TX425 Muffler Bellows flex pipe keeps cracking

The Company is in Canada, and is called Catalytic Exhaust Products, LTD. 905-799-9770 For the Dingo TX425 and 427 the model is a 4SXT-105-0249 for the muffler and assembly. They sold me the purifier muffler with flex pipe for the same price as a regular muffler and flex pipe system for the...

Toro Dingo TX425 Muffler Bellows flex pipe keeps cracking

Update! So, for the last few years I've been using the machine with a broken flex pipe. Lately I found a Company online selling a modified super duty muffler set up with what I hope will be a better flex pipe design. The list price was a whopping $1,400.00 plus shipping!! The current pipe is...

    8-9 Ton Excavator Questions

Both the Deere and Hitachi are excellent machines! There are three times as many Deere as there are Hitachi in those models for sale. Most of that is the rental/lease market. It means you have a larger used selection, possible more parts, and possibly easier resale for the Deere. The Deere 85g...

    8-9 Ton Excavator Questions

It's true, Takeuchi dealerships are not good. But it's like buying a Toyota car, they almost never need dealership servicing. Takeuchi Parts are easily found online.

    8-9 Ton Excavator Questions

The Takeuchi TB290 is a beast of a machine with outstanding spec for power, great durability, and happy operators. There are a lot of them out there. Very, very popular with excellent service support on this site. Not sure about the one you're looking at regarding hours and manual coupler. I...

Driving a truck out of California

For much less hassle, no worries, and likely not much more cost if at all (fuel, food, lodging etc.), pay a shipping Company to deliver it to you.

    Plate compactor opinions . . .

The concern I have with going with the biggest walk behind diesel plate compactors is that they hit very hard, and I would be worried about going over residential utilities (like gas and water line), damaging residential foundations, and shaking the homeowners out of their house. Good for...

    Plate compactor opinions . . .

I have a reversable Mikasa MVH-150 compactor. Weight is enough you need to lift it with a machine. it has a Honda gas engine, so easy to maintain and it's an easy size machine to control.

    Parking the excavator

Parking in a shed or building is good too. My problem isn't getting pitted chrome or a leaking cylinder seal, but mice eating wires and stinking everything up. I think keeping the parked excavator out of the hot sun, pouring rain/mold, and not going crazy with the pressure washer is a good thing.

Moving dirt for driveway and walking path

If you had 60K - 80K to spend, I would pick up a Mini Excavator (like a Kubota, Deere 50, Takeuchi TB240/260) with thumb and a couple of buckets for clearing and scrapping (4' cleanout, and digging bucket), and a CTL (Takeuchi/Kubota) with a couple of buckets (Smooth bucket and tooth bucket) for...
