Takeuchi TB240 Safety lock lever mechanism not work right
On my TB240 pushing the safety lever lock down and up mechanism is not working well. It was a bit finicky at first. Then almost impossible to move all the way down. I would stay away from this dealer. I would stick with a Dealer that is an authorized dealer of brand name heavy equipment (Not just farm tractors and implements), but is like a dealer for Kubota, Cat, deere, etc and who has the equipment he is looking at, as Joe H says onsite. Normal Operating oil temperature for a 430hp Cat C13 engine in a 2007 Kenworth T800 dump truck
No the repair work was done by a shop about a year ago. Since then the truck has been driven just a few thousand miles. I only thought the oil temp seemed high after going up the big hill loaded. Seemed like it stayed a bit high afterwards. I will keep my eye on it. -

No. Truck was starting to read low oil pressure. Oil pressure was verified to be in Cat specs but on the low sides. Replaced Oil filter housing, and all relief valves. Replaced Oil cooler due to rubber deteriorating. Replaced Turbo mounting gasket, drain tube gasket, and oil supply gasket... -

I was driving the dump truck the other day pulling the 7 ton mini on the trailer and about 3 ton of rock in the bed. Oil temp on the dash gauge was about 220-225 or so. What is the normal operating oil temperature? Went up a 500' hill and it was for sure at 225, maybe a touch more. Engine fan... -

Back Up Cameras
When you dump move forward a bit so that the gate doesn't get stuck on the pile. Then lower the box slowly. If you need a tall/tight pile, just lower the box a bit as you move slowly forward after you've dumped. -

Looking for a mini excavator; are these real problems
Stick with the Kubota, Hitachi/Deere, or Yanmar. Maybe also look at Takeuchi. All are good machines. When lifting up, do one lift at a time. Like put the blade all the way up, keep the stick not too far out and lift up with the boom with power setting pretty high on flat hard ground, then lift...- PeterG

Best fill material
Without seeing images, it's hard to know what you got and what you need. In general I would add native fill against the house but no higher than 6" below the siding and have the slope min of 2 percent away from the house for a min of clearing the roof overhang or preferably more like several...- PeterG

I don't know about the excavator Auger thing. We did some holes for street lamp post and rented an auger for our TB153fr from United Rentals. Worked ok. I prefer my Toro Dingo with Auger, but that's not quite as good for wide and deep. You must build nice fancy decks! Most deck guys just throw...- PeterG
