    1996 1840 Case LIFT PROBLEMS

Working on a 1840 with no lift or bucket movement. It runs and steers fine and if you mess around long enough the hydraulic lines will warm-up. We have not put a pressure gauge on it yet. Is there adjustments or safety controls on this model?

955K wiring change from gen. to internal reg. Alt.

955K Work continues Thanks Guys got that one figured out. While digging around I found the tubing or what was left of it for the fuel pressure gauge. My book does not show where it connects, just somewhere at the fuel filter. I have a plug in the top and one in the corner of the fuel filter...

Cat 955K - Any common problems or things to look for

Fan Ring Yes, It had a reversible fan that looked like it had been chopping wood. Got a standard fan but it shows a ring on the outside to sandwich the fan and pulley. Working on a 955K, 1967 vintage. Looks like I'll make a ring for it.

Cat 955K - Any common problems or things to look for

Continued Work I never got the fan blades loose. Pulled the radiator to work on it and work on the water pump. The fan was so far out of balance the bearings in the pump had to be replaced, so the pump is getting rebuilt. Got a new standard fan but the book shows a fan ring in front to bolt...

Cat 955K - Any common problems or things to look for

This might seem like a silly question, how do you change the revisable fan on a 1967 955k. I have tried pushing the blade in and turn and tried pulling out, no luck. The blades are in bad shape, someone did not put the side covers back on.

    My first track loader!

A new guy here. I bought a 955K and finally got a manual and parts book, but I am having trouble finding a used Recoil spring assembly. The spring is broken in several pieces and the rod that is between the grease cup and the front idler has been cut and lengthened. I thought it may be easier...
