Cat 299D serial number configuration lookup

Nige; Thank you for taking the time to look that up. I can't access the hyperlinks, but I get the same types of links through sis. I just couldn't navigate it that well. When you really don't like your dealer it's amazing the lengths you go to so that you can avoid them.

Cat 299D serial number configuration lookup

Thanks Nige; I use cat sis so seldom and I have so much trouble navigating it when i do. I just don't get the layout. The info seems way too general for any single machine. Kind of like when you pull up a 299d with a serial number and it goes into a description for the 3.3 engine and def...

Cat 299D serial number configuration lookup

I have a 299d that I'm trying to loop the configuration on. Full serial is CAT0299DCHCL00252 I have Cat sis, but when I enter it the system just confuses the heck out of me. I guess I need to watch someone navigate through it, but SIS does not seem super intuitive. I believe this is an XPS...

    Cat C7 swap

I've got a 2008 f650 cat with a c7 Acert serial# C7S01274 It's going to be an off-road truck and the engine has so many issues (turbo, dpf, ard, injector cups, main bearings, etc) that i am going to buy a running take out for it. The truck is a six speed with juice brakes. Does anybody know...

Genie Z45/22 Torque hub leaking hydraulic fluid(crack in housing)

I should note that all of the other functions on the machine seem to operate well. It's just the drive component

Genie Z45/22 Torque hub leaking hydraulic fluid(crack in housing)

The travel seems slower than it should and once warm it struggles up an incline. I haven't ran it much since I bought it, but I used it the other day to trim a tree down a 400ft driveway. When I first got it I had that leak from the torque hub housing where it was pumping out hydraulic fluid...

Genie Z45/22 Torque hub leaking hydraulic fluid(crack in housing)

I am going to do some troubleshooting with that manual and that should give me a better idea of how the systems work together. I'm trying to figure out if I have an electrical, hydraulic, or a mechanical issue. I'm gravitating towards hydraulic, but at least now I can check some of the...

Genie Z45/22 Torque hub leaking hydraulic fluid(crack in housing)

Genie's manuals do get me sometimes. On page 4-30 they say you can replace the drive loop hydraulic filter. No details on the location, but they give you a picture and description on how to change a fuel filter. LOL

Genie Z45/22 Torque hub leaking hydraulic fluid(crack in housing)

I did not know that was a 2 speed switch. I thought it just limited flow for an incline or rough terrain. Thank you for the service manual. I will dig into it this week.

Since they guy i'm buying the cab from is parting out the dozer he is supposed to get me everything for the ac system. Looks like th evaporations and condenser are all cab mounted so I think it's just the compressor and lines that I need and those should come with it. I appreciate you taking...

Cat D6m Cab swap orops to erops

Serial number should be 3WN02527 for that D6M. Best i can tell from looking several of this models share the same cab and a number of components. I am certain enough on the cab that for $4k it's worth a stab at it.

    Case 1150 winch options

A buddy of mine has a case 1150G s/n# JJG0257597 that he was going to install a carco 50 ton winch on. He found out that the winch has a broken bull gear and was priced over 6K just for the gear. Now he is looking to find another winch, but we can't tell what models will fit that dozer. I...
